About Sight Realty

Dan took a leap of faith 38 years ago, from the family automobile business to the real estate industry. He built his commercial real estate practice in the Kansas City area. Dan has earned both the CCIM and SIOR designations.

He owns Sight Commercial Realty, where he specializes in investment real estate ownership, management, and sales, and buyer/tenant representation.

Previously he started, and was the CEO of Reece Commercial, the commercial division of Reece Nichols.

During Dan’s tenure, Reece Commercial won the Ingram’s Gold Award in 2013 for the Best Commercial Real Estate Company in Kansas City. Reece Commercial grew in 5 years to a 15 agent company, and a top 10 commercial real estate company in KC.

When he stepped into the business in 1985 he made a commitment to giving back to the industry through leadership. He has made his way through local, state, region and national leadership positions at NAR and CCIM.

Dan was the 2015 Commercial Liaison to the NAR President and served on the extended leadership team.

In 2014 at NAR, he was Chair of Realtors® Property Operations Committee, RPOC, or in other words – the building committee. This committee manages four NAR buildings in three cities (Chicago, Washington DC and Cincinnati, with investments valued at over $100 million dollars.

Dan is working in the community at the University Academy where he mentors the students in the Youth Entrepreneur program.

Dan is a Missouri Tiger graduating in 1979 with an accounting degree. He lives in old Leawood, with his wife Melynn, and his dog Twix.
